Heeltastic Reviews – Does It Even work?

I love As Seen on TV ads. Not because of the products, but because of how ridiculously they market very ordinary products. When I saw the TV commercial for Heeltastic, a new cream for dry and cracked heels, I wondered what other kinds of everyday product they could promote with an over-exaggerated commercial. Wearable blankets? Pajama jeans? Phallic exercise objects that shake inappropriately? Oh wait…

Anyways, I was watching the TV commercial for Heeltastic with my wife and she felt that the commercial was meant for her. After several years of working at a retail clothing store and standing up everyday in uncomfortable shoes, her feet were terribly cracked and felt like sandpaper every time she’d rub them on me. I explained to her that it probably will not work and we shouldn’t even bother with it. But she lifted her feet up to my face and convinced me otherwise. So I decided to order Heeltastic for only $10 (+ S&H).

Now the crazy thing about this is is that Heeltastic actually works. It’s one of the few “As Seen on TV” products that actually does what it promises. When we received the product, my wife immediately rubbed the cream on her feet. The next day, her feet were noticeably smoother. Not as smooth as mine (of course), but still it showed that the product worked. After about two weeks of applying Heeltastic daily, her feet had a smooth callous – still smoother then I could ever remember. Who knows how smooth her feet’d be in a month or two?

The cream does have a mild odor to it. Not bad, but almost herby in a way. And it isn’t greasy as I imagined it would be.

Competitions that involve kids are fun to watch, aren’t they? You will be amazed by how talented and adult-like they can be, especially if those cute little ones project on the stage like they are all grown-up. At the back of the stage, you will see how proud and excited their parents are. Although the parents are always busy behind the scenes during the entire competition, they are also proud to see their children up on the stage charming everyone in the crowd.

Just a year ago, I was one of those excited mothers at the back of the stage, patiently waiting for my daughter to finish her number so that I could prepare her for the next. I am a young mom and was fascinated to see my child join a pageant since she has a cute face and is talented at singing and dancing. Yes. I’m biased! I also thought that it was a good way to boost her confidence as she would be exposed to a lot of people at an early age. And she loves performing and didn’t need any encouragement. I have read that it can have a positive effect on our children as they grow up.

Gap’s coast-to-coast search for radiant, charismatic babies (ages four and under) and kids (ages five to 10) has officially started today with its fifth annual Casting Call contest.

This year, Gap wants to see contestants show off their “good jeans” and is asking parents to submit photos of their precious tots sporting their favorite pair of jeans. Four lucky winners, a boy and girl for babyGap and a boy and girl for GapKids, will be featured in a nationwide Gap campaign early next year. Contestants also have a chance to win the highly coveted America’s fan Favorite award.

“Denim is such an integral part of American fashion and culture, and it’s also the heart and soul of Gap,” said Mark Breitbard, executive vice president of babyGap and GapKids. “Your favorite pair of jeans says a lot about your personality, so we’re asking contestants to show off their individual style by posing in their favorite jeans for their submission photo. Our Casting Call contest is all about finding the brightest personalities with ‘good jeans’ and a sweet smile to match.”

Gap is making it even easier for parents to enter their children into the contest with the introduction of its Gap Casting Call Iphone app. The app, which will be available this week, allows moms and dads to enter their children into the contest, plus cast their vote, while they’re on the move. Parents can download the free app at gap.com/castingcall, or by visiting Apple‘s App Store.
